My favorite part of my day is getting to know our patients. Each is a unique individual, and learning about their lives on a personal level is wonderful. Every patient is valued here, and our whole team will do whatever is necessary to make sure that they have an excellent experience while visiting us here at Joyful Smile. Patients reward us with their thanks, their smiles, and by referring their friends and family members to see us - What higher praise could we ask for? My day is spent interacting with patients, whether I’m scheduling them for appointments, greeting them as they enter, saying goodbye as they leave, or speaking to them over the phone; each exchange is truly delightful.
Outside of the office, my husband and I are enjoying life with our beautiful baby girl. I am also a huge Disney and hockey fan.

One of my daily goals is to provide the highest level of customer service. Whether it’s answering questions, scheduling appointments, handling requests, and resolving concerns, I want to make our patients feel that our office cares. Building lasting relationships is very important to me. I enjoy meeting new people every day and learning new things from them. As for our established patients, I always look forward to seeing them at their routine appointments. I joined the team in early 2016, and I can say that working in a fun and positive environment like Joyful Smile’s is such a pleasure.
When I’m not working, I love spending quality time with my family, traveling, and discovering new places to eat.

From the first day I started working here at Joyful Smile, I felt welcomed. We are not just coworkers but friends outside of work. From karaoke nights to wine tasting we enjoy each other's company. This attitude is reflected to the care to of our patients. I enjoy working here knowing that patient will be taken care of with respect and kindness. My day consists of mostly making sure your insurance coordinates and is billed correctly for all procedures.
When not at work I enjoy traveling and exploring dining adventures with my foodie family.

Corey
Registered Dental Assistant
I’ve been working in dental offices since I was 16 years old; I started off filing patient charts and helping out in the front office. After obtaining my x-ray license, I also began working as an x-ray technician. Years later, I completed dental assisting school and have been working as a Registered Dental Assistant since 2009. It feels great waking up every morning and wanting to go to work because I truly love what I do. What I like most about my job is that I get to help patients feel comfortable. Not many people say they love coming to the dentist, but my coworkers and I try our very best to change their perspective and provide our patients with the best possible care.
When I’m not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband of 7 years and our very active 4-year old daughter. Together, we enjoy watching and playing different sports – especially soccer.

I always believe in starting my day with a smile. As a registered dental assistant, I am pleased to be a part of changing patients’ smiles, knowing that it can also transform their lives. At each dental visit, I try my best to make patients feel comfortable and create an easy experience for them. I am truly blessed to belong to Dr. Joy’s awesome team. Away from work, my favorite thing to do is cooking for my family, friends and co-workers.

Angel
Office Manager
The fact that all the work done within our doors really helps great people, means I love my job. It’s also wonderful, being the doctor’s husband, that I get to see my wife doing something that she’s excellent at and passionate about. The care she provides for our patients, and the team she has built, are inspiring. I oversee all that happens in the office, and make sure that everything is perfect for our patients. After all, we are here to serve and care for them, and we can only do that if everything is well-coordinated and we’re able to do our jobs without distraction or feeling pushed for time. Away from work, I love spending time with my two sons and my wife. I also am a big fan of the Golden State Warriors and all sorts of athletics.

IT/Technical Support
I love the challenges of keeping our network up and running. It is essential for our office that our computers, software, and other technologies are functioning properly, so our team can concentrate on caring for the patients, rather than arguing with a machine. My work allows everything to move efficiently and smoothly, to the benefit of all. I am the youngest in our office, and I’m also Dr. Joy’s oldest son. I’m a tech-savvy person and I enjoy working on computers, so this is a great job for me.
